We often cringe at the thought of going through diets. It is true that this can be an excruciating topic to talk about because of the fact that people are less likely to know the principles of a good diet and that there's just too much great-tasting unhealthy foods around us.
Most people who diet feel the same way, and it's the fastest path back to old habits. You've probably gone through this yourself, and it can definitely turn your mood upside-down. your best bet is to start planning great-tasting recipes using grass-fed beef. Otherwise you will be taking the Man-boobs Train to Lardassville! Don't you want to eat good and look great naked? Well, this is the place to start.
But these superb weight loss recipes entails a different kind of beef not readily available from the groceries. Instead you have to find grass-fed beef.
From Health Food To Poison
Grass-fed beef is the real deal and years ago your parents probably served you some of it on a weekly basis. Today there is a lot of beef that is loaded with saturated fats and omega-6s. In the past, it was considered a great protein with omega-3s present.
Unfortunately we see corn-fed beef in our grocery stores, and it's not "real." This is bad for the health, poisonous, and our government actually supports it.
Cows are grass-eaters, so when they are fed corn, soy, and other grains, they become obese and sometimes sickly. The unhealthy meat is packed with inflammation-causing omega6 and a lot of saturated fats. The "good stuff" you're supposed to have is basically non-existent.
So why does this even happen? I do understand that it's more pricey to produce a corn than its actual worth. It doesn't make sense that anyone would even bother with corn unless they were getting a kick-back somewhere else. After all, there isn't a soul out there who can eat debt. The way it works is the government pays farmers to raise corn the market doesn't even want to use. When there is a huge surplus it gets passed on to cows, and they end up becoming overweight.
Looking at the numbers it takes roughly 16lbs. of corn and soy to equal 1lb. of grass-fed beef. Do the math and you'll find out that we're dealing with billions of dollars that the government spends on this. Another thing is that the tax paying public are the ones shouldering the expenses for the corn and cattle farmers.
A Grass-Roots Revolution
How in the world can we change such a profitable existence? Well, it starts by demanding more grass-fed beef. You win more by becoming more healthy, slim and being able to change the supply and demand for this.
The only problem is you might have a hard time finding it. The best option is heading to your local Whole Foods store and getting it there. Your convenient stores may not have this readily available.
